Who Jesus Is: The Friend of Sinners
Hello
this is Pastor Chris.
Salvation Connection is here to walk with you as you make the
most important decision of your life—inviting Jesus Christ into your heart as
Lord and Savior. These messages are meant to lovingly guide you through the
questions and uncertainties that many people have about Him.
Who is Jesus Christ? And who Jesus Christ is. In this session
we will look at: Who
Jesus Is: The Friend of Sinners
When
people looked at Jesus, many criticized Him for who He spent time with. They
said, “Why does He eat with tax collectors and sinners?” And Jesus answered,
“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”
That shows us who Jesus is—He is the Friend of sinners. Not because He excused
sin, but because He came to heal it. He meets people right where they are, but
He never leaves them the same.
Think about that. Most people keep their distance when we fail. But Jesus moves
toward us. He isn’t repelled by our brokenness—He came because of it. Sin
separates us from God, but Jesus steps into that gap. He is the friend who laid
down His life to bring us back to God.
Maybe you’ve thought, “God wouldn’t want me. My record is too messy. My past is
too dark.” But that’s exactly who Jesus came for. He is not shocked by your
sin. He is not put off by your weakness. He came for you.
And His friendship isn’t casual—it’s eternal. The cross was proof of that. He
laid down His life so you could be forgiven, healed, and made new.
SINNER’S PRAYER
Friend,
if you want to know Him as your Savior and Friend, you can pray this now:
Dear
Lord, I am a sinner, and I need a Savior.
I
am sorry for my sins, and I repent.
I
believe You died on the Cross for my sins and rose again. Pa
I
ask you to come into my heart right now and be my Lord and Savior.
I
know from this point moving forward I will have eternal life in you.
Please
order my steps and help me to live in such a way that brings honor and glory to
Your Name
Thank
you, Jesus, for your gift of salvation.
Pause
If
you prayed that prayer and believe it in your heart, God’s Word says you are
saved—not because of what you’ve done, but because of who Jesus is and what He
has done for you.
The prayer does not save you; it is your faith now being
placed in Jesus Christ as your Savior and what he did on the Cross that saves
you.
God's love and his grace is being freely given to you and know
that you are a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us that the old is gone and all
things are new.
So don't walk in your old ways, begin a new walk in the ways
of Christ.
Find a good bible and begin to read God’s Word, start praying
and be sensitive to how the Holy Spirit speaks to you.
Join a local church that teaches the inerrant word of God and
use the gifts and talents he has given you for his glory and the benefit of
others.
I pray that your walk with our Lord and Savior may be full,
and you especially enjoy His moments in your life.
May God bless you
